Miami, June 11, 2018. Thousands of talented minds from around the world met last week from June 4–8 in the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2018 (WWDC18) at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, CA.

At the event, Unicef presented the world’s first Wearable-for-Good named Kids Power and the Kids Power App to get connected to the wearable bands.

Teravision attended WWDC18 as the company that built Unicef’s Kids Power App for iOS and Android.

How it works: Unicef’s wearable Kids Power Bands are fitness tracker bracelets for kids that connect to the Kids Power app. The app lets users complete missions, which count total steps and award them points. The points unlock funding from partners, which is then used by UNICEF to deliver lifesaving packets of therapeutic food to severely malnourished children around the world.

Our team has been responsible for UX/UI Design, Software development and QA of the Mobile Apps developed on native iOS (Swift) and Android. The team consisted of individuals from our development centers in both Bogota, Colombia and Caracas, Venezuela.
